A UFO in the sky of Sacramento? No, a laser to celebrate the Kings’ victories

A UFO ? A shooting star? A signal to warn a famous bat, purple color this time? Nothing of that respond the Kings on Twitter. This beam of light has actually been used since this year by the franchise to celebrate a victory.

The “Kings Victory Beam” is inspired by the Los Angeles Angels in MLB (baseball), who historically activate a halo in the sky after a victory. This season, the purple beam, powered by four lasers, will be lit for every home and away team win. Additionally, a Kings-related personality will have the opportunity to activate the beam after each home game.

This light has been regularly projected for a week since the Californians have won three of their last four outings, against the Heat then in Charlotte and Orlando.

A few days ago, ABC reported that many locals had no idea what that beam might be. Neither the American weather service nor the international airport of the Californian capital had been able to explain the phenomenon.
