A triple-double, long shots and the “game winner”: Luka Doncic’s big night

A triple-double and the victory of Slovenia against Montenegro (104-100): a working day like any other for Luka Doncic, this Tuesday in Ljubljana. After a minor knee scare that was ultimately harmless against Greece (unlike Vlatko Cancar), on Friday, the Slovenian magician from Dallas did indeed return to full form, beating Nikola Vucevic’s teammates with an outing of 34 points, 13 rebounds and 14 passes.

Among his major feats of arms: two (very) long distance warheads à la Stephen Curry or Damian Lillard in the first half, and a decisive “step back” behind the arc 30 seconds from the end, at 97-97 on the bulletin board.

Next challenge for Luka Magic: Team USA!

Without forgetting the “playmaking” galore on the “pick-and-roll”, of course, and overall a very large volume of play, as usual. At his side, the faithful Klemen Prepelic adds 17 points, while on the Montenegro side, Vladimir Mihailovic scores 26 points, and Nikola Vucevic signs a double-double with 11 points and 14 rebounds.

The next match of Slovenia and its captain “Luka Magic” should blow up the audience since it will be against the United States on Saturday evening on the side of Malaga.
