A tap from Saddiq Bey saves the Hawks against the Raptors!

What a crazy match between the Hawks and the Raptors! With Toronto's defense focused on Trae Youngthe playmaker easily finds his partners under the circle, in particular Clint Capela.

The Swiss pivot continues the dunks, but overall it is all the Hawks who make the circles sing against the opposing over-aggressive defense. Atlanta already takes up to 12 points in advance (28-16) in the middle of the first quarter, but the skill of Gary Trent Jr. and Jontay Porter allows them to stay in the game (34-26).

The entry of substitutes allows Toronto to get back into the game, behind a unleashed Jordan Nwora – Gradey Dick duo. Darko Rajakovic's men even seem to take control of the game, thanks to ball losses and hasty shots from Trae Young and company, who offer them counterattacks.

Well helped by Saddiq Bey, Trae Young still managed to stabilize things and the Hawks finished the third quarter in the lead (97-95). But everything remains to be done for the locals.

The Atlanta leader understood the opposing defensive schemes and his team seemed to take control of the match, in order to end a series of four defeats. Except that Toronto does not give up, sending Scottie Barnes to hammer his opponents in the low post. And on a 3-pointer from Gary Trent Jr, the Raptors are back in front (120-121)!

Trae Young loses the ball, Saddiq Bey puts the lid on

Trae Young took the match into his own hands, causing fouls and scoring a layup with the board to put his team back in the lead (124-123). There are only about twenty seconds left and Scottie Barnes finds himself facing Clint Capela. Difficult for him to take the advantage in the post, and his shot misses. Gradey Dick takes the offensive rebound well but his tap is not controlled, and it is therefore ultimately the Hawks who recover the ball…

Except that Trae Young, who is waiting for the opposing foul, inexplicably returns the ball to the Raptors, and Scottie Barnes can dunk to give the visitors the advantage (124-125).

Ball for the Atlanta leader, with a few seconds on the clock. We think he's going to shoot from the logo, but he finally approaches the circle, overtaking Bruce Brown, manages to avoid the return of Scottie Barnes, but his layup bounces on the circle. Luckily, Saddiq Bey is here to put the lid on!

The last shot is for Jordan Nwora, who has to throw up a prayer from midfield. The Hawks came out on top (126-125) at the end of a money-time that sent their fans through all the emotions…

WHAT YOU MUST REMEMBER

– A bad streak has come to an end. Both teams came into this match on a four-game losing streak. And so it was the Hawks (19-27) who finished with a smile, to re-enter the Top 10 in the East and widen the gap a little against their evening opponents (16-30), 12th in the conference .

– Trae Young in all his states. There was all Trae Young in this match, without Dejounte Murray. The leader had the intelligence not to force from afar when facing two opponents' holds, and to go into the paint, compiling a double-double (30 points at 9/24, 12 assists) by handling the defense well. Raptors. But his turnovers and missed shots, coupled with poor withdrawal, helped the Raptors stay in the game. And what about this last turnover which almost gave Toronto victory on a plate. “I felt bad” he admitted. “I was stupid to make that mistake in the end. I should have called a timeout when I saw I couldn't go anywhere. »
