A second trophy for Tyrese Maxey: the Sportsmanship Award

We thought that this trophy would still go to Mike Conley, already four times winner of this award, but the NBA designated Tyrese Maxey for his Sportsmanship award, awarded. Also called the Joe Dumars Trophy, since 1996 it has designated the player who displayed the best sportsmanship and the best state of mind during the season. Already voted Most Improved Player, the Sixers leader received the trophy from… his parents, who surprised him!

Remember that each team had nominated one of its players for this trophy. Then, from the list of 30 players, a panel of NBA executives designated a finalist for each of the six divisions. In the end, it was the NBA players who then chose the winner from the six finalists.
