A new Scoot Zero in Portland colors

Puma celebrated the release of the tenth colorway available in France of the “Scoot Zero”, Puma’s first signature shoe. Scoot Hendersonwith this “Retro Portland” version. It’s a new tribute to the city of Portland, where the point guard had a mixed rookie season, after the release of the “ODD City” colorway.

The spirit therefore remains the same with a pair mainly in red and black, with this time the majority presence of red compared to the previous colorway. The set is completed with yellow finishes, to highlight in particular the Scoot Henderson “S” logo on the tongue, or the “Puma” logo on the pull tab.

The Puma Scoot Zero “Retro Portland” is currently available on Basket4Ballers at a price of 110 euros.

Our verdict on the Puma Scoot Zero

Like Scoot Henderson's rookie year, the “Scoot Zero” struggled to get off the ground. The qualities are there, however, for the player as for his first signature shoe. The shoe is not exceptional on a technical level, typical of an entry-level model sold from 110 euros, with a “minimal” sole that nevertheless offers a fairly good compromise, and a design made to attract attention.

We recognize here a certain inspiration born from the “success story” of LaMelo Ball with the MB.03, which Puma tried to transcribe with the Blazers rookie. The result may not have been there, but this “Zero” version will undoubtedly benefit from it in the future, in the continuation of the collaboration between Puma and Scoot Henderson, while hoping to see the latter get closer to a destiny of “franchise player” rather than sixth man.
