A new playmaker for the Lakers

After cutting their two players into “ two-way contract“, the Lakers quickly replaced them. After picking up Dylan Windler in the G-League, ESPN announces that the leaders of Los Angeles hastened to get their hands on Skylar Mays.

Holder of a classic contract with the Blazers, this former leader of the Hawks revealed himself at the end of last season for the Blazers with an average of 15 points over a sample of six matches. Retained with a “two-way contract” by Portland, he stood out at the start of the season after the injury to Scoot Henderson. To the point of landing a real NBA contract.

Cut a few days ago, he has a good chance to play in the Lakers since Gabe Vincent has just had knee surgery, and D'Angelo Russell has no real understudy.

Two-way contract : Designed to create a new bridge between the NBA and the G-League, this type of contract allows each team to secure the services of two or three additional players, to develop them mainly in their affiliated development league franchise but also up to 50 matches in the NBA.
