A new floor and new banners for the Suns

The Suns have officially unveiled their new floor for 2023-2024. We can thus note some modifications such as the black background line which continues along the length in a gradient of purple. The famous “Sunburst”, the emblematic logo of the franchise, will always be present on the central circle. It will also be on next season’s jerseys to symbolize this link between past generations and this bright future which is taking shape with the Beal-Booker-Durant trio at the head of the gondola.

“The sunburst is an iconic design that is one of the most popular among Suns fans. It represents some of the most memorable moments in our team’s history. These new uniforms perfectly blend nostalgia for the past and excitement for the future, as we begin the next great era of the Suns.”, said Josh BartelsteinCEO of the Suns, in a press release.

Phoenix Suns legends on the ceiling

Always in the same spirit of maintaining this strong relationship with its history, the Suns franchise will pay tribute to the “Ring of honor”, this club which lists the 15 most emblematic players in its history: Alvan Adams, Charles Barkley, Tom Chambers , Jerry Colangelo, Walter Davis, Cotton Fitzsimmons, Connie Hawkins, Kevin Johnson, John MacLeod, Dan Majerle, Al McCoy, Steve Nash, Joe Proski, Dick Van Arsdale and Paul Westphal.

Murals bearing their effigies and permanent banners bearing their names will be inaugurated during the first match of the regular season at the Footprint center. It will be October 28, at halftime of the game against Utah. On this occasion, Amar’e Stoudemire and Shawn Marion will be inducted into this unofficial local Hall Of Fame.
