Described by the local daily as a ” Draft Guru “, BJ Johnson arrived with the Nets shortly after Sean Marks was hired in 2016. He has held several positions around player development, outside of his work with USA Basketball programs for more than a decade.
In his new role in Brooklynin addition to leading scouting, BJ Johnson will continue to oversee draft preparation. And this after playing a major role in the evaluation and selection of a number of young Nets prospects, including Nic Claxton (31st pick in 2019).
