25 points and 7 assists: Scoot Henderson kicked off his G-League season!

A month after the double friendly confrontation against Victor Wembanyama and the Boulogne-Levallois Mets which turned the basketball world upside down, the other big star of the future Draft 2023, Scooter Hendersonofficially started his second season with Team Ignite last night.

A home game, in the team’s new quarters, in Henderson, Nevada, lost to OKC Blue despite a 23-point lead in favor of the locals at the end of the month in the first quarter (125-134) .

In 33 minutes, the young American leader compiled 25 points (7/16), 2 rebounds and 7 assists (for only 2 ball losses), showing off his precocity in mastering the “pick-and-roll”, both in the “playmaking” for his teammates and in the search for his own shot.

Explosive on his first step, aggressive towards the circle with powerful and aerial finishes and a follower of the “pull-up” at mid-distance when leaving the screen, Scoot Henderson certainly recalls the young Derrick Rose, all things considered of course.

We can count on the leader of the Ignite to remind us throughout the season that he will be far from being a simple consolation prize, behind Victor Wembanyama promised first place in the 2023 Draft.
