$146 million extension for Devin Vassell at Spurs

After Anthony Edwards, Desmond Bane, Tyrese Haliburton, LaMelo Ball and Isaiah Stewart, we know the sixth player from the 2020 Draft to sign a contract extension this offseason, and it is Devin Vassell !

The Spurs fullback/winger (1m96, 23 years old) thus extends into Texas for $146 million over five years.

A very tidy sum for a player who has not yet shown a lot in the Big League, even if it is true that he started strong last campaign, his third in the NBA.

Before a knee injury disrupted his campaign (but helped the Spurs’ tanking operation) at the end of December, he was averaging 19.6 points, with a 40.3% shooting success rate. Particularly effective in the catch-and-shoot, he has everything to be a major element in the reconstruction of San Antonio around Victor Wembanyama.
