Zack Wheeler guided the Phillies to victory

Ah, the series…

I suspected there was a risk in choosing the Miami Marlins in my playoff predictions wild cardbut yesterday we saw that the Phillies are a really good ball team.

The Philadelphia representatives lacked opportunism at the start of the match (Kyle Schwarber should have scored first), but in fact, they were never worried.

The club’s attack got up a little later, in the third and fourth innings. Jesus Luzardo gave three runs in four innings before giving the ball to his relief.

Guys like Alec Bohm, Bryson Stott and Christian Pache notably stood up.

But the real hero was still Zack Wheeler. He pitched for 6.2 innings and even though he gave up a run in the seventh inning, he kept his team in the game.

The exclamation point, however, was a showing of the big guns. Nick Castellanos moved the ball to safety and Bryce Harper came in to score from first base.

And as you can see, he refused to listen to his coach at third base. Yesterday was not easy for coaches on bases in general in baseball.

Nick Castellanos also took the opportunity to show his teammates that he wanted to have a ring at the end of the month.

No, he didn’t send his teammates away.

The Phillies won 4-1 and the Marlins face elimination today. The two teams will play again at 8:08 p.m. this evening.

Braxton Garrett and Aaron Nola will face off.

  • The Blue Jays prospect was good in the fall league yesterday.
  • Rhys Hoskins made the ceremonial throw yesterday.
  • The matches ended early yesterday, with the clock ticking. I like this.
  • These four clubs can advance to the division series this evening.
