Several weeks ago, the Houston Astros got their hands on Jose Abreu. The Cuban was an interesting option for the Astros, who obviously wanted to turn the page on Yuli Gurriel.
Since then, Gurriel has been looking for a contract and from the way the file is progressing, it seems that the Marlins are in a good position to sign him.
It would seem that the Twins are also in the race.
If the Marlins were to get their hands on Gurriel to play first base, it would give Miami a good lineup. The training would have teeth with the arrival of Luis Arraez.
They’re not a World Series club (especially not in the Mets, Phillies, and Braves division), but with a rotation that holds together and a more diverse offense, it’ll be fun to follow them.
I can’t wait to see Jazz Chisholm Jr. in center field, me.
Recall that the Astros lost the services of Gurriel in the playoffs, he was injured in the World Series against the Phillies.
It would be a nice addition to Miami. To be continued.
