For the third time in his career, Yu Darvish has signed a six-year contract. After doing it in Texas and with the Cubs, now the Padres join the dance.
He will receive $18 million per year for six years, or $108 million in total.
There was one season left on his previous contract ($21 million per year signed in Chicago), but that year no longer exists. He is now under contract for $18 million per year from 2023 to 2028.
He should therefore finish his career in San Diego, if all goes well.
