Williamsport: Phillies encourage Pennsylvania players

This weekend, the Washington Nationals are featured in the Sunday night game – against the Philadelphia Phillies. For what?

Hint: it’s not because demand to see the Nationals on Sunday night is high.

The reality is that these are the two teams that will play in Williamsport tonight on the sidelines of the little league tournament. Each year, two clubs compete against each other.

Next year, moreover, the Yankees and the Tigers will be honored.

All that to say that on this beautiful Sunday, the Phillies and the Nationals are there and they take the opportunity to meet the young players.

The Mexican team notably had the chance to meet people from Washington.

That said, it’s the Phillies who are getting the most attention. For what? Because the Pennsylvania club decided, on the sidelines of the tournament in Pennsylvania, to encourage the locals.

The Pennsylvania youth club saw Phillies players screaming in the stands to motivate the young teens on the field.

Obviously, Bryce Harper was at the heart of the celebrations. We saw Trea Turner and Kyle Schwarber, in particular, encourage young players.

They are three former Nationals, by the way.

It must be something to see MLB greats, in the popular stands, being present to encourage your team. It’s an incredible feeling.

Well done from the Phillies, then.
