Here it is: Whit Merrifield has found a new home. The Philadelphia Phillies and the former Blue Jays player have agreed to terms on a one-year contract with an option year.

Basically, he will make seven million dollars this season and the club has an option year at eight million dollars in 2025.

If the option is not activated, the player will receive one million dollars. He is therefore guaranteed to receive eight million dollars in total.

He could receive up to $16.6 million if performance bonuses were added.

Details to come…
