On this beautiful Monday morning, we are already entering the last week of the 2023 regular season in the MLB. Once again, this campaign will have taken place in a frantic manner.
There’s nothing we can do about it and what we have to do is enjoy the final moments of this season and the playoffs that are coming.
And we will be treated to an excellent show, starting this week.
In the American League, it will be interesting to follow the race between the Tampa Bay Rays and the Baltimore Orioles for the East Division title. While the O’s will host the Washington Nationals and the Boston Red Sox, the Rays will face these same Red Stockings and the Toronto Blue Jays.
Speaking of the Blue Jays, they find themselves in an envious position right now, having a two and a half game lead over the Seattle Mariners in the race for best second.
But what will prove to be the most spectacular of the races is not one of those mentioned above. Earlier it was a three-way fight for the lead in the West section.
For what? Because in addition to being very close, the three protagonists will face each other in the final week of the season. If you have to choose two series to watch this week, these are it.
First, the Mariners and Houston Astros will face off before the Texas Rangers visit Seattle. Candy.
And everything suggests that one of these three teams will have to say goodbye to their dream of participating in the playoffs.
Now, if we move to the National League, the clashes are less spectacular, but the race is just as interesting, with five teams still fighting for the last three available places.
After all this hubbub, a day off will be granted next Monday before starting the first round of the fall dance.
Good end of season to all!
