For a few days, we suspected that the Dodgers were going to release Trevor Bauer. Now the formation of California has formalized everything: Bauer is no longer part of the organization of the Dodgers.
It was expected.
Since his suspension ended, Bauer is eligible for $22.5 million in 2023, his final year on contract. But due to his actions and the fact that he was controversial in the Dodgers locker room, his return was unlikely.
And this, even if he affirms that yesterday, the Dodgers told him that they wanted to keep it.
It could be traded within a week, but I don’t believe it. If a club wants to get him, it will be at minimum wage when he is officially released in a week.
But I don’t know if anyone will sign it. After all, signing it is getting heavier and heavier…
