Unsurprisingly, the Braves are the favorites to win the World Series

We know how sports betting sites have invaded our lives and they are doing it again by predicting the shape of the next few weeks in major league baseball.

Thus and unsurprisingly, the Atlanta Braves hold the best odds to be crowned champions of the 2023 World Series.

Brian Snitker’s men have flown through the Majors this season and are one of only three teams to have surpassed the 100-win plateau in 2023. Atlanta (104), Baltimore (101) and the Los Angeles Dodgers (100) are moreover favored to win their respective series against opponents less fortunate in terms of victories.

The Braves are followed by the Astros, Dodgers and Orioles in the title prediction rankings. The Arizona Diamondbacks have the least chance of making it to the end.

Not surprising, you might say, because these four teams won honors within their division and this logic obviously applies when it comes time to assign a rating leading to the final route.

However, the Braves will have to work hard to get there, as they face the Philadelphia Phillies today, division rivals who are on a mission following their 2022 World Series loss to the Houston Astros.

This duel favors the Braves, but by a less significant margin than one might imagine. In doing so, Riley, Acuna Jr., Ozuna and Olson remain a constant threat that makes them prime candidates to advance to the next round.

Same thing on the Baltimore side, while the Orioles, although they are favored against the Texas Rangers, will not be able to take things lightly despite having won the title within the most competitive division of the Majors in 2023. The Rangers have a big attack, but a very questionable backup.

According to experts, the Braves and Orioles are slightly favored going into the division series.

The Dodgers and Astros are largely favorites against the Diamondbacks and Twins, despite the fact that they occupy second chairs in their respective leagues.

Both teams have a ton of playoff experience, which isn’t the case for their opponents.

To illustrate this reality, the two clubs will send veterans Clayton Kershaw and Justin Verlander to the mound in their number one game.

In contrast, the Twins and Diamondbacks are young teams that play with fire and conviction. Will these two elements be enough to make the experts lie? The next few days will tell us, because anything is possible in a three of five series.

10th round
  • The Blue Jays will take stock at 11 a.m.
  • Steve Cohen is not the target of the investigation against the Mets.
