Trevor May attacks A’s owner

Just yesterday (Monday), the Oakland A’s pitcher announced that he was hanging up his cleats after nine seasons in major league baseball, six with the Minnesota Twins, two with the New York Mets and one with the Athletics.

The 34-year-old finished his career with a 4.24 ERA and 33 saves.

But that’s not quite what caught the attention during its official announcement. This is because in his video, the main person attacked the owner of the team, John Fisher, asking him to sell the team.

Take mom and dad’s money and go somewhere else, you idiot. If you want to be a fucking greedy person, own it. There is nothing weaker than being afraid of the cameras. This is something I’ve really struggled with this year. Do what you have to do, brother. You are a billionaire. You have all this power. You shouldn’t have any because you didn’t gain anything from it.

Fans had already let the world know, loud and clear, what they thought of Fisher. Other people outside the baseball world also criticized him.

But we didn’t yet have members of the A’s organization comment on their boss. This is what is done and it has the merit of being clear. And this is not the first time that the launcher has alluded to it.

Indeed, after the match on June 13, when supporters of the franchise organized a reverse boycott and more than 27,000 showed up, many of them wearing t-shirts on which the inscription could be read SELLMay said he took the time to savor the moment on the Coliseum mound before recording a save against the Tampa Bay Rays.

Fans of the California team certainly appreciated what May said, and presumably many of his A’s teammates were secretly jubilant.
