Although we are still awaiting the conclusions of the MLB investigators on Trevor Bauer, it was believed that the legal part was over. Yesterday, we learned that this is not the case and that the saga continues.
Earlier in February, he was cleared by the court in the sexual assault case he was facing in California. Bauer and his lawyers weren’t satisfied with this victory and he now wants to clean up his reputation.
Shortly before the verdict, the Bauer clan filed a request for access to the telephone log of the woman who accused him. The latter’s lawyers have filed a motion to have this request quashed.
On April 4, there will be a hearing on the subject.
By this step, it is believed that Bauer is trying to demonstrate that he was the victim of a frame-up, and thus, he wants to avoid a suspension from major league baseball. He attempts to demonstrate that she suppressed and withheld information such as conversations with close friends that revealed her evil intentions.
If he’s telling the truth and he gets the ledger, will MLB investigators take a look at it to make their decision? Would that be enough for him to gain the approval of his peers upon his return?
