Currently, Fernando Tatis Jr. is in the process of rehabilitation in the minors. He’s playing there not because he’s not healthy, but because he’s hanging up high.
And as he is a week away from returning to the game (April 20, in fact), he has the right to resume the rhythm in the minors a few days before, in order to be ready as soon as his suspension (doping) is over.
Recently, he was called a cheat by a minors pitcher after hitting a home run, but obviously that doesn’t scare him. For what?
Because yesterday he hit three more. He drove in eight runs on the way.
His first circuit traveled no less than 451 feet. It might be against a minors pitcher, but it’s still impressive.
In six AAA games (he had never played there before), Junior had 11 RBIs and four homers. He hits .478 and stole two bases.
His OPS of 1.673 is…pretty crazy.
I imagine the Padres can’t wait to see their outfielder again, to help them out in a tough division.
- It doesn’t work in Oakland anymore.
- Chris Bassitt improved, but the Jays lost.
