This season, Dave Roberts doesn’t want to guarantee a World Series title

Last year, like other years, the Dodgers had a big club. That said, it looks like the formation is having a hard time maximizing the formation’s potential.

After all, despite the club’s numerous division titles, Dave Roberts’ men have only won one World Series (2020) recently.

This time last year, that didn’t stop Roberts from saying publicly that he guaranteed his club would win the World Series.

Result? The Dodgers won just one playoff game in a four-game loss to rivals San Diego.

Needless to say he looked bad, did he?

Even if he claims not to regret his statement, the fact remains that this year, he learned from his mistakes: he will not make the same comments.

On paper, his club is a bit shallower than in 2022 and the fight with the Padres will be fierce. That said, even if he had the best club on paper, anything could happen.

The important thing is that his Dodgers will be among the favorites. If the guys do what they have to do, they can go a long way.

Remember that the club is saving a bit this year to save money in an attempt to sign Shohei Ohtani for the 2024 season.

But until then, Roberts will have to make sure to get the best out of his guys.
