The next generation is saving the Yankees season

The New York Yankees are trying somehow to keep their heads above water despite the many injuries that are raging, including that suffered by captain Aaron Judge and which hurts a lot.

Despite everything, the Bronx Bombers are currently in the playoffs portrait, a great accomplishment under the circumstances.

And if this is possible, it is only because of the performance of the bullpen which has held the fort since the beginning of this campaign.

Indeed, with the exception of Gerrit Cole who is having an excellent season and who goes very far from the games where he is the starter, the other starters do not do the job, Domingo German and Clarke Schmidt in the lead.

In addition, the offense struggles to operate at full speed when the Judge is absent, which puts undue pressure on the relievers, who must keep the score as it is to give the big hitters time to finally get the big hit after several attempts.

The relief has therefore very often had to take over early in tight games and without support, either from the starting rotation or from the offensive line-up.

However, on a few occasions, the bullpen has always responded, as evidenced by its excellent earned run average at 2.85 and its WHIP at 1.17, peaks in both categories.

We can therefore say that the next generation is saving the Yankees season.
