Tonight, the Arizona Diamondbacks received a visit from the Los Angeles Dodgers. The latter, surprisingly, faced elimination on the sidelines of match #3.
Lance Lynn was the starter for the Dodgers and until the fourth he held his own. It’s better than Clayton Kershaw and Bobby Miller.
But in the fourth grade, everything went wrong.
Geraldo Perdomo, Ketel Marte, Christian Walker and Gabriel Moreno all hit the long ball, effectively knocking out the starter. Moreno was spectacular as can be.
It was the first time in playoff history that a club hit four home runs in one inning, which is pretty crazy.
And even if Gabriel Moreno (hurt hand) left the game, the Diamondbacks were not really worried. The Dodgers scored two more runs, but it was in vain.
Mookie Betts and Freddie Freeman, the Dodgers’ two most important players in 2023, haven’t been able to do more.
For the first time since 2007, Arizona is in the championship series. On the menu? The winner of the series between the Phillies and the Braves.
Remember that the Phillies won game #3 tonight. The Braves are therefore facing elimination and Game #4 will take place tomorrow night in Philly.
To see the DBacks there now is a huge surprise. Bravo to them, that said.
