The Astros eliminate Édouard Julien and the Twins

With their backs against the wall, the Minnesota Twins had to try to survive in Game 4 of their best-of-five series against the Houston Astros.

And the latter took matters in hand in this sense, since in the first inning, Royce Lewis, who else, catapulted Jose Urquidy’s offering far to center field to give the lead to his team.

The unloved Houston, however, returned to the charge in their turn at bat, Michael Brantley imitating Lewis with a solo circuit. It was then equality at one everywhere.

Then, as the strategy ofopener rarely works throughout a game, Jose Abreu took advantage of the generosity of the Twins’ third pitcher in four innings, Caleb Thielbar, to give his team the lead by two points thanks to another long ball.

The Twins didn’t give up, however. Indeed, at the end of the sixth inning, none other than Quebecer Édouard Julien pushed a ball to the opposite field, the latter barely crossing the fence in the left and the gap was then reduced by half.

This small push was insufficient, however, because the Astros pitchers, including Ryan Pressly in the ninth inning, closed the door on the Twins hitters, eliminating them in the process.

The Astros will therefore meet their section rivals in the Championship Series, the Texas Rangers. The duel will begin on Sunday at Minute Maid Park, since the latter escaped the lead in the West section of the American League at the end of the season.
