The San Francisco Giants, now that they have $350 million loose, have money to spend. And the club is determined to improve.
After Michael Conforto’s two-year contract, Taylor Rogers has signed to help the club’s enclosure for the next three seasons. He will earn $11 million per year.
But most importantly, he joins his twin brother, Tyler, who has been in the Giants bullpen since arriving in the Majors in 2019.
Taylor can be used, if Gabe Kapler wants it, as closer. It’s a role he had during his last years with the Twins.
In 2022, Rogers had a career-high 31 saves. He started the season in San Diego before being traded to Milwaukee for Josh Hader.
It will therefore be able to launch often with its twin. And for the family, who come from Colorado, it’s not too long a trip.
