Already a month has passed since the opening of the 2023 season in MLB. A lot has happened and a lot more will change, but now is a great time to look back on the past few weeks and rank major league teams by what they’ve accomplished and the strength of their rosters.
So without further ado, here is the first version of Passion MLB’s State of Forces for the current campaign.
– Tampa Bay Rays
Despite the confusing ease of their schedule, the Rays can’t find themselves anywhere but first on this list. The next few weeks will tell us more about the true value of this team, however.
– Atlanta Braves
The Braves don’t seem to have any flaws, to the point that some are comparing them to the 1998 edition. Only a month has passed in the season, but we have to admit that they will be difficult to dislodge.
– Milwaukee Brewers
The name of the game is pitching and the Brewers get it. Armed with a solid rotation and a rock-solid bullpen, Milwaukee is blithely sailing towards the section title, even if it is still early.
-Toronto Blue Jays
The eternal weakness of the Blue Jays is still present, namely the relief, but the Canadian team is doing well thanks to its offensive strike force. It’s been more difficult lately though, and the next six weeks will be tougher.
– Baltimore Orioles
The Orioles are building on their momentum from last year, finding all kinds of ways to win games. The pleasure seems to be there and it could take them further than expected.
– Houston Astros
– Pittsburgh Pirates
– New York Mets
– Minnesota Twins
– Texas Rangers
- Los Angeles Dodgers
– New York Yankees
– Arizona Diamondbacks
– San Diego Padres
– Philadelphia Phillies
- Chicago Cubs
– Cleveland Guardians
– Miami Marlins
– Los Angeles Angels
– Boston Red Sox
– Seattle Mariners
– St. Louis Cardinals
– Cincinnati Reds
-San Francisco Giants
– Detroit Tigers
– Colorado Rockies
-Washington Nationals
-Chicago White Sox
– Kansas City Royals
