State of the Forces of Passion MLB: The Braves steal the top spot from the Rays

Already three months have passed since the opening of the 2023 season in MLB. Time passes much too quickly.

A lot has happened and a lot more will change, but now is the perfect time to look back on the last few weeks by ranking major league baseball teams by what they’ve accomplished so far and the quality of their roster.

So without further ado, here is the third version of Passion MLB’s State of Forces for this campaign.

1 – Atlanta Braves

The team that has been compared to the 1996 edition continues to impress this season and nobody seems to have the elements in place to dislodge them, at least for the moment.

2 – Tampa Bay Rays

Having benefited from an extremely favorable schedule at the start of the campaign, it’s been a little more difficult for the Rays lately. This does not prevent the Florida formation from easily being part of the top-5 of the best teams in MLB.

3 – Texas Rangers

We knew that the Texas Rangers had better training than in the past. But at this point, without the services of Jacob deGrom? Nobody saw it coming. And we haven’t finished hearing about it.

4 – Baltimore Orioles

The young orioles continue to make their way in a very strong division. Although consistency is hard to come by, what Baltimore is accomplishing is remarkable.

5 – Arizona Diamondbacks

Speaking of surprise, the DBacks currently sit atop the National League West Division, just ahead of the Los Angeles Dodgers. A rather unexpected ending. Will they be able to hold on?

6- San Francisco Giants

7- Los Angeles Dodgers

8 – Houston Astros

9 – New York Yankees

10 – Miami Marlins

11-Toronto Blue Jays

12 – Cincinnati Reds

13 – Los Angeles Angels

14 – Philadelphia Phillies

15 – Milwaukee Brewers

16-Boston Red Sox

17 – Minnesota Twins

18- Chicago Cubs

19 – San Diego Padres

20 – Seattle Mariners

21 – Cleveland Guardians

22 – New York Foods

23 – St. Louis Cardinals

24 – Detroit Tigers

25 – Pittsburgh Pirates

26-Chicago White Sox

27 – Washington Nationals

28 – Colorado Rockies

29 – Kansas City Royals

30 – Oakland Athletics
