Source denies Carlos Rodon rumor not pitching this season

After a heartbreaking loss to the Tampa Bay Rays on Sunday, the New York Yankees found their way back to winning ways last night (Monday) against the poor Oakland A’s.

If the win is welcomed with open arms by the Bronx Bombers, things have to be put into perspective, due to the weakness of the opponent, which will not always be the case.

Injuries are hurting New York’s squad right now and there were even rumors that one of the injured, Carlos Rodon, won’t return to action this season. A nightmare…

A very reliable source, however, denied the whole thing. Who is she? The principal’s wife, Ashley Rodon.

The left-handed gunner still hasn’t pitched for the Yankees after suffering a forearm injury in spring camp. But now it’s his back that prevents him from climbing on the mound and he will have to learn to live with his ailments since they are chronic.

The frustration is felt in Rodon and we can understand it.

It really sucks. I want to pitch for the New York Yankees. I want to play. It’s hard to sit here, do nothing and talk to reporters.

The current plan is for Rodon to receive a cortisone-like injection this week. The Yankees hope this will help solve his back problems, or at least the discomfort it brings.
