Shohei Ohtani gave Joe Kelly's wife a Porsche

As is customary, when a star player arrives in a new city, within a new team, it is good practice for a less dominant player who wears the same number to transfer it to him, in return for a substantial reward.

Generally, this gift takes the form of a Rolex watch or a boat to go fishing for trout.

When Shohei Ohtani arrived at the Los Angeles Dodgers, reliever Joe Kelly must have known that his turn had come to receive a prestigious watch that he would proudly wear on special occasions in exchange for his number 17.

The Japanese, however, surprised everyone by offering a gleaming Porsche to Kelly's wife, Ashley, to mark the handover of the now famous number 17.

Upon hearing the news of Ohtani's signing with the Dodgers, Kelly jokingly mentioned that by offering his number 17 to the newcomer, he was ensuring that he would one day make it to the Hall of Fame. fame and that it was the surest way to achieve it.

Obviously, Kelly also said that he wouldn't have done this for just anyone.

The outspoken Kelly is a crowd favorite in Los Angeles and will continue to be so by wearing his new number, which will be 99.

Ohtani did not reward Ashley Kelly by chance, because Joe's wife had made a remarkable promotional campaign on her social networks for the Japanese phenomenon to choose the Dodgers as a new destination to continue his brilliant career.

It must be said that his efforts were remarkably highlighted.

During this holiday season, knowing that parents are struggling to put food on the table to feed their children, it is difficult to highlight events like receiving a car worth several hundred thousand dollars as a gift. Fortunately, the Dodgers are organizing a festive meeting bringing together 600 children in need to mark the holiday season and take advantage of the excitement caused by the arrival of Shohei Ohtani with the team to bring happiness into the lives of these young people who have, until now, less luck in life.

I would like to take this opportunity to wish a happy holiday season to all those who visit our site.
