Seeing Elly De La Cruz steal every base (including home plate) is good for baseball

I don’t know if you’re as on the Elly De La Cruz train as I am, but let’s say the young man is doing everything to become a more than very electrifying player.

He really reminds me of a Ronald Acuna Jr. or a Fernando Tatis Jr. of this world. He can do anything on a baseball field, we get along.

His arrival with the Reds is in line with the team’s surge and it’s partly because he makes the club dangerous on the trails.

Yesterday, for example, he stole second base before doing the same for third base… but also for home plate.

He took advantage of the fact that the game was in slow motion to demonstrate the extent of his speed and to proceed with a play that is always insane: a full-blown marble steal.

I have heard a lot about him since last night and it is not only in the world of baseball that his talent is talked about.

Seeing a player with such instincts (because no, his coach didn’t send him to third) is truly incredible. His 16 stolen bases in just 29 games is… insane.

The one who refused to participate in the home run contest alone makes people interested in the cause of the Cincinnati Reds. It has to be done, right?

Yesterday, the Reds won again. They did it 8-5 against Milwaukee. They became the fifth National team to get at least 50 wins before the all-star break.

They are still two games ahead of the Milwaukee Brewers in the standings in Central.
