Reverse boycott: it will brew in Oakland tonight

You and I know how deplorable the situation of the A’s in Oakland is. After all, the A’s owner is destroying the franchise.

And nothing says that the move to Vegas will really happen.

All that to say that the Oakland A’s have been planning a reverse boycott for a while to make MLB understand that the problem isn’t the fans.

How? By bringing thousands of fans into the stadium to ensure the players are going to play in front of a decent crowd.

The owner will make cash: he must be laughing. But OK.

All that to say that it’s tonight, against the Tampa Bay Rays, that it’s going to happen. And with the winning streak (6) of the A’s, it could hardly be better.

And let’s say that everything has been planned.

First, the first 7000 fans who will cross the doors of the coliseum will be entitled to a green jersey on which it is written “sell”. It is a messenger to the owner to sell his club.

But that’s not all. At the start of each defensive half, the fans will shout “sell the team”.

At the start of each offensive half-inning, it is rather “stay in Oakland” by clapping (stay in Oakland) that will be shouted by the fans.

And at the top of the fifth, everyone will stand and be quiet while the first batter is at bat. It’s to honor 55 years in California.

I think there will be a lot of atmosphere in town. I don’t know how many fans will be there in the end, but people want to keep their team. They do what they can.

  • Kevin Gausman is a touching man.
  • The Tampa Tarpons manager wants to be a GM in MLB one day.
  • Who are the last two active players to play against the Expos?
  • The Marlins want a receiver.
  • Rangers recall a big hope.
