Rays: A first team with a 10-0 record since 1987

We all know the Rays won’t finish the season 162-0. That said, we’re enjoying the wave as it passes and right now the Rays are looking like a tsunami.

Yesterday, the Rays became the first team to reach a 10-game winning streak in MLB. By doing so without losing a single duel, Kevin Cash’s men dusted off a 1987 mark in the process. Nobody had done (start 10-0) that since.

Note that for three games, the club has not given the slightest point to its opponents. Yesterday’s 1-0 win over Boston (another not so good opponent, but still) showed that nothing scares the Rays.

Reminder: Tyler Glasnow is still injured…

The Red Sox, who lost the services of Adam Duvall, failed to score yesterday, therefore. They only scored one point the day before, without the center fielder.

What I am going to say is nothing against Boston since it is the case for many clubs, but a player has left and you can see the difference. In Tampa, this concept does not exist.

And that’s what makes the club so strong.

Moreover, speaking of a good club since the start of the season, we must say a word about the Diamondbacks. The latter took advantage of a good outing from Zac Gallen to win a fourth game in a row.

The DBacks are 7-4 and atop the National West. They faced, this season, the Dodgers, the Padres and the Brewers, who are at the top of the National at the moment.

With (in particular) a revised and corrected outfield, it helps.

  • Nine strikeouts in a row.
  • Max Muncy loves playing in San Francisco.
  • Jordan Walker loves hits.
  • Sandy Alcantara got eaten.
  • The dial does its job.
