Rangers record: 14 straight playoff games with a home run

Last night, the Texas Rangers won Game #3 of the World Series. We are talking about a ninth victory in nine games on the road during the 2023 playoffs.

Was everything perfect? No. After all, the injuries to Max Scherzer and Adolis Garcia, in particular, can hurt the club.

But the club leads 2-1, which is better than the other way around.

It wasn’t perfect either considering the Rangers only had two hits if you exclude the third inning.

But we can’t do it, which allows us to say that yesterday, the Rangers were better than the Arizona Diamondbacks.

They were notably thanks to Marcus Semien (an RBI) and especially Corey Seager, who hit a two-run homer.

He became the first shortstop to hit at least two home runs in at least two different World Series. #2020 #2023

With his five home runs in the World Series, he is ahead of Derek Jeter and Carlos Correa (three each) among shortstops in the World Series. In the series overall, Seager is at 18 career long balls.

Seeing him hit a home run gave the Rangers a 14th straight home run. It’s a playoff record.

What a great, well-led team. #BruceBochy

The last time the Rangers didn’t hit a home run was October 3rd. It was during their first playoff game (4-0 win against Tampa) on October 3.

If Adolis Garcia is seriously injured, it could be difficult for the Rangers. But as we see, the club has so much depth in attack that the Rangers can still get by.
