Rangers get their hands on Game #1

Tonight, the American League Championship Series got underway. The Astros hosted the Texas Rangers, still undefeated in the playoffs.

And clearly, the club had no intention of stopping it there.

Quickly in the game, the Texas Rangers took the lead against Justin Verlander, who had never lost in a game #1 in the playoffs under the colors of the Astros.

Jonah Heim collected the first RBI of the series when he hit the ball to safety and saw Evan Carter cross the plate.

If the Rangers haven’t had the expected production from the club’s stars, at least the bottom of the lineup has stepped up.

Leody Taveras took matters into his own hands against Justin Verlander by hitting a home run that proved to be the insurance run in a 2-0 win against the locals.

Verlander and Jordan Montgomery pitched very well – especially the Rangers pitcher, who gave nothing during the duel.

It seems that the managers are experienced since the two starters pitched in the seventh. This is the first time in the 2023 series that this was the case for both sides at the same time.

Evan Carter, whom I like more and more, has produced a beautiful wrestling at the end of the match to keep his team’s lead alive.

The next match is tomorrow and Rangers have already managed to cut the home advantage. Who will stop them, honestly?
