Rangers advance to World Series

In Game 7 of the American Championship Series, Bruce Bochy and Dusty Baker aimed to return to dancing on baseball’s biggest stage.

And as in the other six matches of the series, we understood that the club abroad was going to win. Because yes, the Rangers crushed the Astros and they are going to the World Series.

It was only the second time in history that this had happened. And in both cases, Max Scherzer started Game #7 in Houston.

The difference? In the 2019 World Series, Scherzer pitched over 2.2 innings of work. Meanwhile, Justin Verlander – ah and forget it.

Because no, tonight, the Texas pitcher did not dominate. He gave two runs in less than three innings to his opponents.

But it doesn’t matter: Cristian Javier has done worse. He gave up three runs in 1/3 inning of work, which cost his club the match.

He is not the only one who hurt his team since the next generation did not hold up. In the next five innings, the Rangers scored seven times.

Concretely, it was 10-2 after six innings. The points added on each side (to make 11-4) at the end of the match did not change much.

The top of the Astros lineup may have done its job, but let’s say the Rangers dominated… especially Adolis Garcia.

His five RBIs and two home runs today (15 RBIs in all against the Astros) make him the player of the series – and the series in general, for now.

If Bruce Bochy stopped throwing to Yordan Alvarez, why didn’t Dusty Baker do the same to the Rangers slugger?

It still stirred when Jose Abreu hit Mitch Garver in the ribs (he is evaluated, by the way) and Aroldis Chapman responded with a quick 104 MPH against Chas McCormick.

The Rangers are therefore waiting to see which team between the Arizona Diamondbacks and the Philadelphia Phillies will win tomorrow’s game.

The World Series kicks off Friday.
