Paul Skenes is a machine.
The guy could obviously win launcher titles of the year at the same pace as Mike Trout, in his beautiful years, won the most useful player titles. In my eyes, Skenes is already the best launcher in the world.
Compared it to Trout is no coincidence on my part.
Trout is a star player, but he doesn't really have a big personality. In fact, we know little about him … whose fact that he loves the eagles of Philadelphia and the weather.
It is not exactly a seller.
And the more time passes, the more I feel the same with Skenes. It is very reserved / embarrassed and it is not the best to sell / promote itself, let's say. The proof? His photoshoot with GQ and the way he talks about it.
Bulk, He delivered a long interview and took photos with his blonde, Livvy Dunne. And when he talks about it, we can clearly see that he is not comfortable and that he would like to talk about ball better than his interview. It's the opposite of his blonde, let's say.
That said, how not to talk about it?
Obviously, Skenes is who he is (his blonde found him really embarrassed at the start of their relationship) and that makes him the man focus that he is. No one asks him to change his passion for baseball and his drive On the mound.
But the MLB must say that if it was more publicly open, which Trout has never been either, it would help promote baseball. A bit like Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift, genre.
