The off-season may have been on the ice for several weeks already, but that doesn’t prevent us from making an assessment. Even if some contracts can still be signed, the big players have already initialed their agreements.
On Monday, theScore released an update to the odds ahead of the 2022 World Series. Unsurprisingly, the clubs that made big decisions over the winter were the ones that earned the biggest improvement in the standings.

Going from +4000 to +1800 according to the American system, the Los Angeles Angels are now 12th, very close to the top-10.
The big weakness of this team is the mound. Finally, she seems to have decided to solve the problem. Noah Syndergaard and Michael Lorenzen each received one-year contracts, and Raisel Iglesias got a four-season extension.
All they need is Shohei Ohtani, Mike Trout and Anthony Rendon to stay healthy for the team to have a chance.
