I don't know if you've been following the biggest debate over the new uniforms for the 2024 season, but the players hate them. And with good reason.
First of all, they don't look good. The uniforms look like a jersey that you order on a shady website and whose font is as shady as the site.
The sweaters may be lighter, but the fact that the backs of the uniforms are not up to par (the names are notably small) is still causing discussion.
But more and more, we talk about pants.
The more we look at the pants, the more we notice one thing: we see through them. And since players can't have as much choice in sizes this year (another problem), it gives… uh…
It gives this.
Seeing through pants allows you to see areas that pants are normally intended to hide. But this is not the case.
Journalists are therefore increasingly reporting players' growing frustrations on this subject. Last night, this was notably done on ESPN.
The players are so angry that the Players Association has its nose in the heart of the matter. She hopes for a drastic change by the start of the season.
But will it happen? I do not believe.
After all, Nike (which produces the jerseys) put out a post in connection with the whole situation saying that the jerseys are lighter and more flexible.
But no one talks about the fact that we see the players' genitals or that the jerseys are ugly in the eyes of all the players who dare to speak their minds.
Add to that the fact that there is currently a shortage of pants on the various major baseball teams at camp and we have the recipe for a perfect storm.
Everything's okay, huh?
- A top-10 with two teams, mainly.
- Hyun-Jin Ryu will not be forgotten in Toronto.
