Last year, Nelson Cruz had a hard time. The hitter of choice hasn’t had a great season in Washington and he has seen his club not activate the option for the year 2023.
It had also not been traded by the trade deadline.
Why was it less good? Has age finally caught up with the 42-year-old veteran? Maybe, but it doesn’t seem to scare all the teams.
After all, according to his own words, he has received a few formal offers for the 2023 season. It is not known, however, which teams have submitted an offer to him.
Even though Cruz said he wanted to come back, it seems like I took it for granted that he wasn’t coming back. After all, he’s had eye surgery and he’ll be the Dominican Republic’s GM at the World Baseball Classic, which will take his time and energy.
But obviously, he still has the sacred fire. It’s all to his credit.
