Peter Bendix becomes boss at Miami

He was the GM of the Rays, but here he will run the baseball operations of the Marlins.

Kyle Hendricks returns to Chicago

The Cubs agreed to pay him $16.5 million in 2024. The team had the option to do so or not depending on his contract.

Brad Hand becomes free agent

The Braves did not activate the option on his contract.

Same thing for Joe Kelly in LA

Can confirm the Dodgers are expanding Joe Kelly’s $9.5 million option for next year, as @bradfo reported

Kelly will get a $1 million buyout and become a free agent. He had a 4.12 ERA this year (although it was 1.74 in 11 games with the Dodgers)

Yoshinobu Yamamoto will indeed arrive in America

It was a formality, but his club in Japan will make him available.

The next step is the formal declaration of the posting window, which could happen in the coming days.
