Mike Trout and Tiger Woods teaming up to build a golf club: this is news that I didn’t have on the bingo card for the year 2023.
But yet, this is what the star player of the Los Angeles Angels announced on Twitter.
Basically, in 2025 (ideally, at least), the golf club will open its doors. Construction will begin in the coming months in Vineland, New Jersey.
This is where Trout was born and he lives in New Jersey during the off season.
It’s Woods and his firm of design who did the design of the Trout National – The Reserve course itself and Trout is involved in the whole process.
After all, a golf club is much more than the 18 holes: it is the complete experience around. And he wanted it to be modern, both in terms of services and the experience in general.
It won’t be your grandfather’s golf club.

Note that there will be fields of practice, luxury places to stay and a chapel for those who want to get married there.
It will be quite a full place, I think.
Gossip will say that playing with the Angels will give him plenty of time to go play golf while the big teams are in the playoffs. However, I say that I like to see him being involved in such a way in such a project.
It can only help him by getting people talking about him – if things are done well, of course.
