Left ankle injury: Édouard Julien day by day

For the past few months, the name of Édouard Julien has been on everyone’s lips. After his big 2022 season and his successful stint in the fall league in Arizona, the Quebecer attacked training camp with confidence.

Result? A big training camp and a notable stint at the World Classic as Canada’s second baseman.

Back at the Twins camp, he was sent to the AAA, but he is still, once in a while, called up for Major preseason games. In short, we do not forget it.

But the bad news is that during a game played today, the Quebecois hurt his left ankle. It is day to day.

He tried to avoid the first baseman while on the run, but he made a wrong move that hurt him.

What this has the effect of is potentially delaying his move to the Majors even further (I don’t know if that will hurt him, but it won’t help him, anyway) in the short term.

Remember that Charles Leblanc will start the season in the AAA, he who is recovering from a back injury.

Also remember that Abraham Toro had bad news recently when he learned that he was going to have to go through Nashville at the start of the year.

We are still waiting to find out if Otto Lopez will make the club.

In short, we are crossing our fingers to see if Quebec will be able to have a representative in the Majors as of March 30. We also hope that Julien will recover well.

  • Fernando Tatis Jr. is having more fun in the field than before.
  • Sandy Leon released by Rangers.
