Josh Reddick criticizes Yoshinobu Yamamoto signing

The least we can say is that the Los Angeles Dodgers have been the talk of the town for several weeks. Sometimes for good, often for bad (unfortunately).

And the signing of Japanese Yoshinobu Yamamoto was no exception.

Indeed, after the Japanese pitcher accepted a 12-year contract worth $325 million to join prodigy Shohei Ohtani under the hot Californian sun, former MLB outfielder Josh Reddick attempted to criticize the pact.

The one who retired earlier this year spoke out on X.

How can you give $325 million to a guy who has never thrown a shot in the MLB?

Then, when someone responded, “Baseball is ruined,” Reddick said he agreed with that statement.

However, criticism came from all sides following the release of the one who last participated in a major baseball game with the Arizona Diamondbacks in 2021.

Several users on the platform then began discussing the fact that Reddick had won the 2017 World Series title with the Houston Astros, a team that later emerged at the center of a cheating scandal involving the theft of signals by electronically. It's not false!

As luck would have it, Reddick disappeared from the map from that point on. Not surprising for a notorious cheater.

The former outfielder hit for a .314 batting average that year in 134 regular season games, a career high. Of course, no correlation to be made with the fact that the average hitter knew the pitch that was coming his way. But no, eh?

Another who would have done much better to remain in the shadows.
