We know that the Orioles have (by far) the best bank of prospects in major league baseball. Recently, Adley Rutschman and Gunnar Henderson have been seen making the leap into major league baseball.
DL Hall, a pitcher we saw last year, should soon make his place full-time in Baltimore. Right now he’s in the AAA.
But then the second-best pitcher among major league prospects, Grayson Rodriguez, got the call he so craved.
The Orioles have confirmed the youngster, who is MLB’s seventh-best prospect, will pitch in the next few minutes in Texas.
Only Andrew Painter (Phillies) is ranked higher than him as a major league prospect right now.
Rodriguez started the season in the AAA, but an injury opened the door for him.
The Houston native will therefore have family in droves to attend his debut, which is good news for everyone.
The challenge will not be easy, however, as he will face none other than Jacob deGrom.
Right now, that means that with Rodriguez’s recall, five of major league baseball’s ten best prospects are currently in the Majors.
Which?
- 1. Gunnar Henderson (Baltimore)
- 2. Corbin Carroll (Arizona)
- 4. Jordan Walker (St. Louis)
- 5. Anthony Volpe (New York)
- The effect of the new rules.
