Hard at Los Angeles.
The club announced that Freddie Freeman, who was injured in the ankle by sliding in the shower in recent days, was going to have to take the way to the injured list – retroactively on March 31.
He hurt himself at the same ankle which had inconvenienced the star player in series. He had been operated during the dead season and clearly, his ankle was still a fragile bit.
It is normal for it to be a fragile bit.
He missed his matches in Japan, but played the first three games at this season. But for a few games, he was considered “day by day” by his team due to the history of the shower.
And there, we judge that the guy really needs a few days of rest to do things well.
Even if the club certainly has the depth to recover from that, the fact remains that Freeman is one of the three best strikers of the Champion club. So it's a hard blow.
Fortunately for the Dodgers, it is fine there. The training is undefeated in eight games this season and the other guys, including Shohei Ohtani and Mookie Betts, get up.
We will see if Freeman will come back around April 10, when he will have the right to do so, or if he will need more time to come back in great shape. I have the feeling, on this subject, that dodgers have the luxury of being patient and doing things well.
To be continued in the coming days.
- Nestor Cortes in control yesterday.
- Two Luis Castillo in the rotation of the navy.
