Fernando Tatis Jr. is called a cheater in the minors

Fernando Tatis Jr. was suspended for 80 games last August after failing a doping test, his suspension extending until 2023.

Despite the fact that he is approaching a return to the game, Tatis Jr. is not at the end of his troubles. Entitled to a 15-game rehab spell in the minor leagues, it’s safe to say he’s not making any friends at the moment.

Last night (Wednesday), the 24-year-old was in his second game for the El Paso Chihuahuas, and he took the opportunity to hit a long home run against San Francisco Giants prospect Kade McClure .

Nothing to write to his mother, McClure not being listed as one of the best hopes of the Californian formation, and this, at 27 years old. However, the young gunner did not take it.

He’s a cheater who hits a long ball in a rehab stint while suspended for steroid use.

One can understand McClure’s feelings. However, it is true that Tatis Jr. made a mistake, but he is just serving his sentence.

Boos were also heard from the crowd as Tatis Jr. took his break before rounding third base in his run around the bases.

It remains to be seen how he will be received when he returns to MLB with the San Diego Padres in a few weeks.
