Diamondbacks roster will be scary in 2024

Considered the surprise team in 2023 by virtue of their participation in the World Series, the Arizona Diamondbacks will no longer be able to use this label in 2024. Noting the offensive alignment of the club, following the changes made by the organization, the DBacks offense will be scary this season.

The Los Angeles Dodgers better watch out because Diamondbacks manager Torey Lovullo has the weapons to compete with anyone.

In the offseason, the DBacks re-signed Lourdes Gurriel Jr., while adding Eugenio Suarez and most recently Joc Pederson.

Considering the team's success in the 2023 playoffs and the movements of the last few weeks, we must now count the Diamondbacks among the favorites to defend their title of National champions.

We should also not neglect the arrival of gunner Eduardo Rodriguez, who will add a nice layer of talent to an already well-endowed rotation in this regard.

The addition of Pederson, who will act as designated hitter, solidifies the center of the batting lineup and represents the perfect link between the top and bottom of the lineup. Speaking of the bottom of this lineup made up of Alek Thomas, Lourdes Gurriel Jr. and Geraldo Perdomo, he can be considered one of the best right now.

Thomas was one of the revelations of the last playoffs and the best is yet to come in his case. As for Gurriel Jr. and Perdomo, they will be able to provide Torey Lovullo with great service throughout the long season.

Joc Pederson completes the core of this lineup well alongside receiver Gabriel Moreno and newcomer Eugenio Suarez. The other three hitters should be placed in the dynamite category. Corbin Carroll, Ketel Marte and Christian Walker are the envy of many managers at the moment.

The three may not be the best trio currently in major league baseball, but they have proven that they are productive as can be and have helped their team reach the World Series in 2023.

By keeping the core of the team in place and motivated while adding quality pieces, the Diamondbacks leaders allow their manager to count on a lineup that will be scary game after game.

The rotation of the DBacks having nothing to envy of anyone, Torey Lovullo will have on hand a balanced formation, without great weakness and which has tasted the joys of victory. All that's missing is the final objective and the loop will be closed.

The Arizona organization deserves high marks for its work since the end of the last campaign. In addition to the new signings and the return of Gurriel Jr., the Diamondbacks worked out contract details with Christian Walker, Zac Gallen, Paul Sewald, Kevin Gingel, Joe Mantiply and Ryan Thompson.

By doing so, they ensured that they maintained good humor in the locker room and could count on a group of motivated and confident players.
