Diamondbacks join Rangers in World Series

This evening, we were treated to a big duel #7 between the Phillies and the Diamondbacks. What’s at stake? A World Series berth against the Rangers.

Ranger Suarez and Brandon Pfaadt were on the mound.

And quickly, the DBacks built their first point. Corbin Carroll went on base. He advanced through Gabriel Moreno and scored through Christian Walker. 1-0.

But the Phillies quickly tied the game via an Alec Bohm homer.

Bryson Stott then pushed Alec Bohm to the plate. This allowed the Phillies to take a 2-1 lead in the game.

But the Diamondbacks had not said their last word.

Corbin Carroll, who had a great game stealing bases and hitting balls, had his third hit of the game. He allowed his team to score.

This is also when both starters exited the game.

A hit from Gabriel Moreno then allowed the Diamondbacks to regain the lead in the match at 3-2.

And subsequently, who other than Corbin Carroll to allow his team to make it 4-2.

The Phillies lacked opportunism at the plate, but the club took Zack Wheeler out of the bullpen – for the first time in his career. He gave his team five outs.

The crowd was, however, very calm since the attack gave no sign of life.

Paul Sewald came to close the books and the Diamondbacks, with their 84 victories in the regular season, managed to snatch two wins in a row from Philly. They will play on Friday in Texas.

The championship series will have been… surprising. But it’s good for baseball.
