Deadline 2022: Yankees have made a serious offer for Shohei Ohtani

I don’t think I need to tell you that Shohei Ohtani will continue to command attention over the next year. As long as he performs as he does, he will be talked about.

But above all, until he has put ink on paper to become one of the highest paid players in history, we will wonder where he will sign.

Will it be with the Angels? Because they haven’t changed ownership (Arte Moreno), I’m having a hard time seeing Ohtani staying in Anaheim. Unless the club makes the playoffs, which I doubt.

In fact, everyone knows that it is a task that looks like an impossible mission. This, however, is Moreno’s priority.

Because he is exceptional (both on the field and as a human) and he is an attraction in an entertainment field, Moreno wants to do everything to keep him at Mike Trout’s side. That is what he said (not to mention the other big files concerning his club so far) at the New York Post.

He also likes his chances in the file to keep the Japanese in the long term.

I would like to say that we have as many chances as anyone.

It is in particular to improve his chances that he does not want to see his GM exchanging the spotlight, but there is more: he does not know how he could win a transaction involving Ohtani.

It is true that Ohtani is two stars in one player. That’s why the Angels said no to the Yankees, who made a big offer for Ohtani by the 2022 trade deadline.

The Angels talk a lot to the agent of the pitcher and hitter of choice, but it is not clear if the concrete resort really.

However, if they feel like Ohtani is going to get away from them, maybe a deal will become inevitable at some point, right?
